Leaders and elders of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State have laid out key conditions for lasting peace, demanding that President Bola Tinubu reward party loyalists and that the national leadership allow the chapter to choose its candidates without imposition for the 2027 elections.
The move, emerging from a major leadership summit, has been hailed by the state party chairman, Isaac Abas, as a turning point, signalling that the worst is over for the crisis-ridden chapter.
Echoing the optimism, the state chairman, Abas, told journalists that the summit reflected a bright future of hope, unity, and progress.
