The Lagos State Government has urged farmers in the state to take advantage of the agriculture insurance scheme as a critical risk management tool for the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Abisola Olusanya, gave the admonition at a two-day training programme for nominated farmers of the National Population for Food Security in the state, held at the Fresh Food Produce Hub, Idi-Oro, Mushin, Lagos.
The Coordinating Director, Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority, Aderonke Toju-Tubi, in her welcome address, said the initiative underscored commitment to strengthening the agricultural value chain and supporting farmers across the state.
