Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has pledged to make budgetary provisions to strengthen cancer awareness, early detection, and treatment across the state.
Abiodun made the commitment while receiving a delegation of the Cancer Awareness and Screening Team in Abeokuta during the inauguration of a free breast screening centre.
The governor said the state would collaborate with relevant partners to expand cancer prevention and management initiatives, stressing that government funding would be prioritised in the state’s annual budget.
